The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightning shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lightning showed some decent athleticism there.
Lightning is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lightning is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and baroni defends it well.
Lightning passes to full mount!
baroni is working to get back to half guard.
Lightning wants to control the pace but baroni is squirming around nicely.
Lightning goes for an armbar but he's not got it… baroni turns into him and now he's in Lightning's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
