Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Issac Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Susan Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Issac Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Susan Atkins! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atkins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Atkins misses with a head shot. Summers uses the momentum to regain guard. Summers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Atkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Atkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Atkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Summers wants to sweep here but Atkins controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atkins wants to pass the guard but Summers is keeping the position. Atkins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atkins throwing strikes but missing. Atkins is looking to pass into half guard but Summers pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Summers is in guard.
Atkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Summers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Atkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Atkins trying to control the action but Summers is working from the bottom. Summers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Atkins throwing shots but Summers is blocking nicely. Atkins wants to free his trapped foot but Summers is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Atkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Atkins controlling the action here. Atkins not landing any meaningful shots this time. Well, if Atkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Summers is not content to let Atkins control the position. Atkins thows a huge punch but Summers dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkins missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Atkins throwing shots but Summers is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Atkins wants to take a breather but Summers is having none of it. Atkins performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Atkins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Summers defending well though. Atkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Summers keeps working. Atkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Atkins tries to pass to full mount but Summers defends it. Atkins is just content to waste time from the top position. Summers takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Summers keeping moving, preventing Atkins from controlling successfully. Atkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Atkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Summers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Atkins. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Atkins. A jab from Atkins misses. Summers throws a head kick but Atkins moves out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Atkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Summers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Atkins is in Summers's guard. Summers wriggles free and stands up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Atkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Summers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Atkins somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Susan Atkins dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Summers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Atkins. Summers seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Summers tries to work over Atkins's front leg with a kick but Atkins checks it. Atkins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Atkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Atkins throwing strikes but missing. Atkins throws an elbow that misses. Summers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Atkins's guard. Nice move by Summers! Atkins is looking to sweep but instead, Summers has passed into half guard.

Summers working away. Atkins sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Atkins is looking for a sweep. Summers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Atkins is trying to maintain the position but Summers is very close to passing his half guard. Atkins tries to roll over but Summers keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Atkins moves into full guard.
Atkins looking for a guillotine here but Summers defends easily.
Atkins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Atkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Atkins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Summers defends it easily. Atkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Summers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Atkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Summers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Summers preventing the sweep. Susan Atkins has got the better of the ground game so far. Summers lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Atkins working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Summers has passed into half guard!

Atkins has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Summers escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Summers! Atkins tries to improve position but can't. Atkins is trying to control Summers's posture but Summers avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Atkins manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Susan Atkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Summers. Summers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Atkins misses with a hook
and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand! Atkins throws a hook but Summers blocks it. Atkins misses with a takedown and Summers counters with a flying knee. Nice. Summers checks a leg kick. Summers defending well as Atkins loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Summers moves away from the strike by Atkins. Summers thinks about countering with a body kick. Susan Atkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Summers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Atkins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Summers is sitting in close to Atkins's body. Atkins has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Summers is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Summers is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Atkins.
