Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KJ Talley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimi Hendrix has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimi Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, KJ Talley!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talley thows a body kick. Hendrix tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Hendrix shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hendrix showed some decent athleticism there.
Hendrix trying to control from half guard but Talley is working away.
Talley wants to improve his position but Hendrix is controlling well.
Hendrix controlling the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Talley wants to control but Hendrix is keeping busy.

Talley looking for submissions off his back.

Talley is trying to get back to full guard.
Talley keeps trying to improve his position.
Hendrix slows the pace down in half guard.

Hendrix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Talley is just riding it out for now. Hendrix eventually gives up the hold.
Hendrix is looking to take a break and control but Talley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Talley is looking for a sweep. Hendrix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hendrix shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Talley is trying to defend but Hendrix finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Talley is looking to control Hendrix's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Talley avoid being mounted?
Hendrix wants to take a breather but Talley is having none of it.

Talley is looking for a sweep. Hendrix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Talley wants to control but Hendrix passes into side.
You can see the frustration on Talley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hendrix is looking to take a break and control but Talley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Talley is trying to control Hendrix's posture but Hendrix avoids it.
Talley is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Talley looking for a sweep but Hendrix has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Talley tries to hold on but Hendrix pushes him away.
Talley can't escape the position.
Talley prevents Hendrix from taking his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hendrix tries to control but Talley wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimi Hendrix dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hendrix avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big right from Talley misses.
As Talley tries to get set, Hendrix tries to push him back and clinch up but Talley manages to avoid the attempt.
Hendrix tries for a takedown but Talley circles away easily
and Talley counters with a left to the body.
Talley lands a jab to the nose.
Talley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hendrix was well out of range. Poor timing from Talley.
Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but Talley shows good takedown defense.
Talley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Talley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendrix fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimi Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hendrix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Talley tries to avoid it but Hendrix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Talley to the ground. Talley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Talley throws a body shot but no joy.

Hendrix fails with the takedown.
Talley cracks Hendrix with a good jab.
Nice defenses there by Hendrix.
Hendrix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Talley tries to avoid it but Hendrix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Talley to the ground. Talley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hendrix fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Talley avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Talley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hendrix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Talley lands a jab.
Talley feints and then cracks Hendrix's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hendrix down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Some bone on bone action there as Hendrix checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Talley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Talley thuds a left hand into Hendrix's body.
Talley scores with a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Talley.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Talley.
Hendrix takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The fighters circling - Talley throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Talley jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hendrix shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Talley pinned against the ropes. Talley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Talley throws an overhand right that lands on Hendrix's shoulder, as Hendrix tries to avoid the shot.
That kick from Talley tenderised Hendrix's leg. Hendrix is trying to keep his angry face on.
Talley jabs Hendrix to the body, keeping him at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hendrix tried to score with a low kick but Talley checks it.
KJ Talley seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Talley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hendrix seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Talley throws a good cross that connects.
Hendrix fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Talley checks it well.
Talley throws a hook but Hendrix blocks it.
Hendrix half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hendrix doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Talley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Talley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hendrix tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Talley defends well and Hendrix ends up having to push Talley into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Talley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hendrix.
Talley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hendrix with a poor takedown
and Talley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Talley fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hendrix to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hendrix looks to clinch but Talley throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hendrix taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). KJ Talley!
After the fight, KJ Talley was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
