The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Meza - that will leave a mark!
Meza lands with a kick to the temple. Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Meza closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silva is rocked!
Meza lands a strong strike to the head of Silva. That's dazed him! Meza looking to finish here. Silva is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Meza lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Meza!
