Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Master Disaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrik Larsson!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larsson is looking to clinch but Disaster is avoiding it.

Larsson rushes Disaster and presses him up against the cage.

Disaster pulls guard.

Larsson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Disaster dives on top into guard.
Disaster postures up.
Disaster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Larsson is keeping the position for now.

Larsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Disaster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Disaster wants to pass the guard but Larsson is keeping the position.

Larsson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Disaster is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Larsson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Disaster's back instead.

Larsson doesn't have the hooks in and Disaster manages to turn into his guard.
Disaster would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Disaster tries to escape but Larsson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Larsson looking to break Disaster's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Disaster remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Larsson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Disaster slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Disaster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Disaster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Disaster kicks off Larsson and gets to his feet.
Disaster throws a head kick but Larsson moves out of range.
Disaster shoots in and drives through. Larsson sprawls well.
Disaster throws a series of punches but Larsson moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Disaster. No joy for Larsson on that attempt.
Larsson fails to land the takedown.

Master Disaster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henrik Larsson.

Disaster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

It looks like Disaster is going to stand back up.
Larsson wants to control but Disaster is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Disaster fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Master Disaster dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Disaster fails with an attempt to clinch.
Disaster closes the distance and clinches up with Larsson, looking for a takedown. Disaster pushes Larsson against the cage but Larsson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Disaster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larsson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Larsson works his way to full guard. Good work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Larsson has his foot on Disaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Disaster works his way back into a safe position though.

Disaster passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Larsson!
Larsson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Disaster takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Larsson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Disaster is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Disaster in particular looking to stall.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Disaster lands a nice short elbow.
Disaster tries to pass to full mount but Larsson defends it.

Master Disaster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Disaster has Larsson up against the cage in a clinch.
Larsson wants a takedown.
Larsson is trying to stall.
Larsson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Disaster blocks it with crossed arms.

Disaster successfully pulls guard.

Disaster looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Larsson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Larsson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Disaster manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Larsson has Disaster in his guard.

Larsson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Disaster stands up and waves to Larsson to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Disaster wants the takedown. Larsson is fighting it off but Disaster persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Larsson's guard against the cage.
Master Disaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Larsson is pulling down on Disaster's head. It's preventing any offense from Disaster, at least for the moment.

Larsson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Larsson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Disaster is trying to break the clinch but Larsson has him pressed against the cage.
Larsson scores with a nice hook to the head.
Disaster is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Larsson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Disaster manages to pull guard.
Larsson throws a strike but Disaster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Disaster wants to get up but he can't break Larsson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Larsson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Disaster tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Larsson has hold of Disaster's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Disaster manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Larsson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Disaster has worked his arm free - good work by Disaster!
You can see the frustration on Disaster's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Larsson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Disaster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Disaster sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Larsson is looking for a kimura here.

Disaster tries to roll over but Larsson keeps him under control.
Master Disaster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Larsson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Disaster manages to get to full guard.
Disaster has a closed guard, preventing Larsson from standing up.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Henrik Larsson.
I think Disaster has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
