Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephan Hicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Wallace! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hicks, pushing him back against the cage. Hicks manages to break the clinch.
Hicks tries to keep at a distance but Wallace has taken the fight into the clinch. Hicks is trying to force a seperation but Wallace has the dominant position. Hicks is trying to pull guard but Wallace turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wallace dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Wallace stalling against the cage.
Hicks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wallace gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hicks tries to pull guard but Wallace won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephan Hicks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hicks wants a takedown but no success here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hicks tries to pull guard but Wallace won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hicks jumps guard but Wallace turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hicks drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wallace gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hicks is breathing heavily. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Nice body punch from Wallace - that landed with a thud.

Wallace's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Wallace lands a body punch in the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Wallace. Wallace stalling the fight.

Wallace darts in and clinches Hicks up against the cage. Wallace lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hicks backwards. A short body shot lands from Wallace as the two fighters clinch.

Hicks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wallace lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hicks backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wallace takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Wallace leaning against his opponent.
Come on Wallace - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wallace makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Wallace digs a right hand into Hicks's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hicks's gas tank. Wallace slowing the pace effectively. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gary Wallace. Wallace rushes Hicks and presses him up against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Wallace lands a nice shot to the body. A left hand lands to the body for Wallace.
Wallace will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hicks up against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wallace. Hicks letting Wallace take a breather here. Wallace stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short body shot lands from Wallace as the two fighters clinch.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gary Wallace. Wallace moves into the clinch. Wallace just leaning against Hicks, taking a breather. Wallace lands a hook to the side of the head. Hicks is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wallace is defending well. Wallace lands with a right to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! A nice right hand lands inside from Wallace. Wallace controlling the action here for a moment.

Gary Wallace dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wallace clinches up against the cage. Wallace lands with a short shot to the head. Wallace scores with a shoulder strike. Hicks takes a shot to the head. Wallace lands a nice uppercut.
Hicks is rocked! Wallace lands a big right hand that drops Hicks! The killer instinct kicks in and Wallace finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Wallace!
