The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Farrell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Farrell scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Farrell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Farrell wants to get back to his feet but Brown passes into half guard.
Farrell is trying to stand.
Brown wants to take a breather but Farrell is having none of it.
Farrell tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brown is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown blocks the strikes from Farrell.
Farrell tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brown lands a nice short elbow.

Brown is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Farrell is just riding it out for now. Brown eventually gives up the hold.
Farrell is trying to get back to full guard.
Farrell is thowing punches from the bottom. Brown grabs hold of a loose arm and pivots for an armbar! It's tight and Farrell has to tap! Superb work there from Brown!

A relieved looking Bill Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
