Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Wooten! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergio Moraes! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wooten throws a jab but it's blocked by Moraes. Moraes dodges the punch combination from Wooten.
Wooten scores with a jab to the body. A slow jab from Wooten misses its intended target. Moraes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wooten. Wooten throws a leg kick but Moraes sees it coming and checks it nicely. Wooten sets himself, and Moraes steps forward looking for the clinch! Wooten avoids it this time. and Moraes counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wooten tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Moraes is able to avoid easily. Moraes is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. We've been informed that Moraes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Moraes avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Wooten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wooten misses with a leg kick and Moraes counters with a nice uppercut. Sloppy strikes from Wooten. Those never looked like landing. Wooten misses with a hook. Moraes ducked under it nicely. Wooten stalks Moraes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Moraes's face. Moraes staggers backwards, shaken. Moraes slips a jab and a cross from Wooten.
Wooten misses with a right hand and Moraes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wooten throws a leg kick and Moraes counters with a straight right hand. Moraes checks the leg kick. Moraes wants to clinch. Wooten misses with a left hand and Moraes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wooten throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Moraes feints the counter takedown. Moraes on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wooten misses with a double jab.

A low kick from Wooten is predictable there and Moraes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Moraes has managed to clinch.

It looks like Kevin Wooten has been cut. A short right from Moraes on the inside. A quick uppercut on the inside from Moraes.
Wooten is rocked! Moraes jumps guard and drags Wooten to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Oh Wooten is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Moraes has an active guard here but Wooten has managed to pass into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooten is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Moraes manages to get to full guard. Wooten seems to have got his legs back now. Wooten avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

and Moraes counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooten takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Wooten will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Moraes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wooten under the eye. Wooten swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wooten misses with a low kick.

Moraes tries to counter by closing the distance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moraes instigates a clinch. Wooten looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wooten can't break the clinch.
Wooten is looking to break free of the clinch but Moraes has double underhooks. Moraes lands an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Wooten will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kevin Wooten's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

Wooten throws a combination that misses and Moraes counters with a stiff right hand. Wooten tries to bum rush Moraes with a series of wild strikes but Moraes uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wooten will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kevin Wooten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some bone on bone action there as Moraes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Moraes wants to counter with a clinch but Wooten pushes him away. Wooten lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moraes circles away quickly and effectively. Wooten sets himself, and Moraes steps forward looking for the clinch! Wooten avoids it this time. Wooten lands a lovely overhand right. Wooten fails to land with a series of punches.

Sergio Moraes decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. The defeated Kevin Wooten had this to say: 'Uhh, to be honest idk what to say.
