Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Luk Cockhold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oleda Aswani!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aswani darts in and clinches Cockhold up against the cage.
Cockhold is trying to pull guard but Aswani has him pressed against the cage.
Cockhold tries to land knees in the clinch but Aswani avoids the damage to the body.
Cockhold tries to pull guard but Aswani holds him up against the cage and eventually Cockhold drops back down to his feet.

Aswani gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Cockhold makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Aswani has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cockhold is trying to pull guard but Aswani has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luk Cockhold. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aswani gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cockhold.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cockhold is looking to take this one to the mat.

Aswani gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cockhold regains guard.
Cockhold will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cockhold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aswani on the ground.
Cockhold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aswani content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Cockhold has momentary wrist control but Aswani slips an elbow through the middle.

Aswani is in close to Cockhold's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cockhold is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Aswani gets to his feet and stands over Cockhold, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cockhold felt that one! Aswani unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cockhold from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oleda Aswani!
