The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor lands a two punch combo.
McGregor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bailey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bailey gets tackled into the cage by McGregor. McGregor maintains the clinch.
McGregor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Bailey counters with a left to the body.

McGregor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bailey pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bailey wants the takedown. McGregor is fighting it off but Bailey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in McGregor's guard against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bailey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McGregor tries to buck Bailey off but Bailey is having none of it.
Bailey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bailey drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGregor gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McGregor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bailey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGregor somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGregor tries to buck Bailey off but Bailey is having none of it.
