PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koji Yano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huma Krynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yano comes to the cage accompanied by Fleur de Lis - Jucifer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Koji Yano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Huma Krynn!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krynn closes the distance looking to clinch
and Yano counters with a straight right hand.
Krynn throws an off balance right hand

and Yano holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A short left from Yano.
Krynn lands an elbow just above Yano 's eye.


It looks like Koji Yano has been cut.
Yano digs a right hand into Krynn's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Krynn's gas tank.
Yano blocking some punches.
Our sources have told us that Yano has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Yano takes an elbow to the forehead.
Yano lands a damaging elbow.
Yano scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Yano looking to throw knees to the head but Krynn is blocking nicely.
Yano can't find room to land a body shot as Krynn controls the action.
Stalling in the clinch from Yano.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Krynn just misses with a elbow thrown towards Yano's brow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yano takes an elbow to the temple.

Krynn is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yano is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Krynn to the mat. Krynn regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Yano sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Krynn's guard.

Yano is working for a kimura but Krynn is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yano is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Krynn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yano.
Yano throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Krynn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Yano throws a strike but Krynn avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Yano is working Krynn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krynn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yano drops back looking for a leg! Krynn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krynn manages to kick Yano off! Yano jumps back into Krynn's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yano with a nice head shot there.
Yano is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Krynn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Krynn keeping full guard, as Yano tries to pass.
Yano engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Yano throws a big right hand that misses.
Yano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Yano throws a big elbow that misses.
Yano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Yano is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Yano trying to control the position from guard on top but Krynn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Krynn wants to stand up but Yano is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yano works over Krynn with some ground and pound from guard.
Yano advances position into side control!
Yano grinds an elbow into Krynn's temple.
Krynn is not content to let Yano control the position.
Yano is putting a hurting on Krynn here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koji Yano dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Koji Yano's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Yano lands a nice looking body shot.
Yano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Krynn.
Krynn pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yano is out of range and Krynn settles back down.
Yano lands a brutal head kick. Krynn looks out on his feet and Yano throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Koji Yano!
Koji Yano decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
