PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Bangsit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Shoei Braz!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Braz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bangsit to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bangsit postures up.

Braz is looking for a triangle but Bangsit pushes his legs off easily.
Bangsit is looking to work some ground and pound but Braz has wrist control.

Braz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bangsit is pushing down on Braz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Braz is fighting to maintain full guard but Bangsit has managed to sneak the leg through.

We've been informed that Braz has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

I really don't envy Braz right now.

Braz cracks Bangsit with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Bangsit from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Braz lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Braz.

Shoei Braz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Bangsit closes the distance and pushes Braz back into the cage.

Braz has picked Bangsit up - he's going for a ride! Braz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Braz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bangsit to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Braz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bangsit pulls down on the head and he's put Braz to sleep! This one is all over!
