Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Levan Kvirkvelia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Jensen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Levan Kvirkvelia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Jensen! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kvirkvelia bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Kvirkvelia turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jensen takes a shot right to the bread basket. A chopping leg kick lands by Kvirkvelia. Kvirkvelia jabs Jensen to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kvirkvelia thows a body kick. Jensen tries to catch it but that hurt him. Levan Kvirkvelia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jensen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A solid leg kick lands there for Kvirkvelia.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kvirkvelia. Kvirkvelia moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A chopping leg kick lands by Kvirkvelia. Kvirkvelia lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jensen will feel that in the morning. Kvirkvelia tries to land a front kick but Jensen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jensen feints the counter takedown. Kvirkvelia swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jensen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kvirkvelia throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jensen was covering up waiting for the punch and Kvirkvelia finishes the takedown easily into guard. Jensen trying to keep a closed guard but Kvirkvelia is proving a slippery customer.
Jensen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kvirkvelia manages to get himself to full guard.
Kvirkvelia looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jensen is one step ahead there. Kvirkvelia keeping moving, preventing Jensen from controlling successfully. Jensen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kvirkvelia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jensen has managed to get both his arms back between Kvirkvelia's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kvirkvelia keeping full guard, as Jensen tries to pass. Kvirkvelia looking for a sweep. Not yet Kvirkvelia, not yet. Kvirkvelia pushes a forearm under Jensen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jensen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Levan Kvirkvelia! Levan Kvirkvelia seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
