Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Georges Meese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Roussow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Georges Meese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Roussow! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meese thows a left - swing and a miss! Roussow moves out of range of the strikes. Roussow is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Roussow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Roussow tries to work over Meese's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A frustrated look appears on Meese's face as he tries to break the clinch. Roussow throws a punch but it's blocked by Meese. Come on Roussow - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Roussow tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Meese's elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meese is looking to break free of the clinch but Roussow has double underhooks. Good body shot from Roussow.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Meese. A short uppercut from Roussow. Roussow tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Meese's elbow. Roussow lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Meese is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Roussow prevents Meese from breaking the clinch. Roussow works on Meese's body with a couple of short punches. A left hand lands to the body for Roussow.

We've been informed that Roussow has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Roussow holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meese's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Meese blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Roussow turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Roussow manages to end up in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roussow tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Roussow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meese keeps working. Meese parries the strikes from Roussow easily there. Roussow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Meese to escape.
Meese on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meese tries to get out of the position. Meese takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roussow trying to control the position but Meese is working away. Roussow landing strikes. Roussow working the body and head with strikes. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Meese is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Meese is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Roussow is controlling him well. Roussow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meese keeps working. Roussow prevents Meese from escaping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roussow in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Roussow lands some shots froms side control. Meese defending against the ground and pound. Roussow connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Meese some visible discomfort.

Ken Roussow dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Meese stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Meese wants it to stay on the feet. Roussow takes one to the chin there. Meese throws a hook to the side of Roussow's head but Roussow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Roussow shoots in looking for a takedown but Meese manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Roussow's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Roussow pushes Meese up against the cage in a clinch. Meese tries to break the clinch but Roussow is controlling the position. A short right from Roussow. Roussow has a couple of punches blocked by Meese.

Roussow prevents Meese from breaking the clinch. Roussow is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Meese is defending well. Georges Meese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Roussow. Meese wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A frustrated look appears on Meese's face as he tries to break the clinch. Roussow misses with a hook from the clinch. Roussow fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Roussow pushes Meese back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A short left from Roussow. Roussow misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Roussow lands a right hand that snaps the head of Meese backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Roussow fails to land. Meese has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Roussow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Ken Roussow has been cut. Roussow has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A jab lands there for Meese. Meese lands a left and a right that send Roussow crashing to the mat, dazed. Meese thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Roussow is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meese cracks Roussow with a hook to the temple - Roussow is on wobbly legs here! Meese swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Roussow falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Meese wins by TKO!
