Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerrold Aguirre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguirre fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Morton checks it well.

Aguirre gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morton to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morton wants to control from the top but Aguirre keeps moving.
Morton's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Aguirre wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Aguirre jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Morton walks away with a smile on his face. Aguirre gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Aguirre closes the distance and clinches up with Morton, looking for a takedown. Aguirre pushes Morton against the cage but Morton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
