Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Delphino Atlantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atlantis comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Firestarter. Wietrzny has chosen Hunter-Fallen as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Delphino Atlantis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Igor Wietrzny! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wietrzny drives through with a takedown into Atlantis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Atlantis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wietrzny trying to control but Atlantis is working from the bottom. Atlantis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Atlantis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wietrzny defends it easily. Wietrzny trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atlantis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wietrzny is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Atlantis. Wietrzny is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atlantis manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wietrzny controlling the action here. Atlantis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Atlantis looking for a kimura from the bottom but Wietrzny passes into side control! Atlantis wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wietrzny happy to just control the position for now. Atlantis is trying to improve his position. Atlantis is working hard here to advance position. Atlantis can't do much from the bottom here. Atlantis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wietrzny's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Still in half guard, Wietrzny seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atlantis tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Atlantis is looking to control Wietrzny's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Atlantis avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Atlantis goes for a double leg but Wietrzny avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wietrzny continues to drive forward. Atlantis scores with a hook to the body. Wietrzny takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Atlantis instigates a clinch. Atlantis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Atlantis throws an elbow that misses. Wietrzny uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Atlantis's guard. Nice move by Wietrzny!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Atlantis wants to control the position but Wietrzny says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Wietrzny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Atlantis keeps working. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wietrzny in particular looking to stall. Wietrzny works his way into full mount! Atlantis is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Zen Balance Monastery that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Atlantis reaches up to try and control the position but Wietrzny seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Atlantis rolls and tries to escape and now Wietrzny has his back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wietrzny is trying to stick to Atlantis's back but Atlantis is turning into Wietrzny. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wietrzny's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Atlantis. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Igor Wietrzny will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wietrzny wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Atlantis works the jab nicely. Wietrzny tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Atlantis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Atlantis rushes Wietrzny and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Atlantis landing knees to the head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Atlantis throws an elbow but misses. Atlantis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Atlantis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Atlantis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wietrzny walks away with a smile on his face. Atlantis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Atlantis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wietrzny. Atlantis closes the distance and clinches. Wietrzny prevents a body shot from Atlantis. Atlantis wants the takedown. Wietrzny is fighting it off but Atlantis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wietrzny's guard against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Atlantis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wietrzny is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wietrzny has escaped and now he's on top!
Igor Wietrzny has got the better of the ground game so far. Atlantis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atlantis striking off his back but it's not causing Wietrzny any problems. Atlantis working for a triangle but Wietrzny defends it easily.
Wietrzny trying to control the position from guard on top but Atlantis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Atlantis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Atlantis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Atlantis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wietrzny stacks Atlantis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wietrzny! Wietrzny wants to control but Atlantis is keeping him busy. Wietrzny is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Atlantis's shoulder. That is not cool. I wouldn't like to be where Atlantis is right now. Wietrzny trying to control the position but Atlantis is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atlantis is looking to regain half guard here but Wietrzny keeps moving and retains side control. Atlantis wants to control but Wietrzny postures up. Atlantis is trying to get back to half guard. Atlantis struggling a bit here. Wietrzny swings around for an armbar but Atlantis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wietrzny's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atlantis trying to control but Wietrzny is working from the bottom. Atlantis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wietrzny is trying to control the position but Atlantis postures up. Atlantis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wietrzny's head. Atlantis wants to control from the top but Wietrzny keeps moving. Atlantis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Atlantis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Atlantis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Atlantis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Delphino Atlantis dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wietrzny lands a hook to the side of the head. Atlantis changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wietrzny fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Igor Wietrzny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Atlantis swats away the attempt to clinch by Wietrzny. Wietrzny on the wrong end of a nice hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atlantis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wietrzny scores with a leg kick.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delphino Atlantis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Atlantis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Atlantis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wietrzny has closed the distance and engaged Atlantis in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head punch blocked on the inside by Atlantis. Wietrzny struggles to land a body shot inside as Atlantis controls his hands.

A frustrated look appears on Atlantis's face as he tries to break the clinch. Atlantis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wietrzny avoids it. Wietrzny tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Wietrzny lands with a short shot to the head. Igor Wietrzny seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Atlantis takes a shot to the head. Atlantis tries for a takedown. No joy.

Wietrzny postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Atlantis has his foot on Wietrzny's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wietrzny works his way back into a safe position though. Wietrzny wants to control from the top but Atlantis keeps moving. Atlantis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Atlantis being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atlantis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wietrzny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wietrzny manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Atlantis is trying to hold Wietrzny in close to prevent damage but Wietrzny has managed to pass into half guard.
Atlantis looking for submissions off his back. Atlantis is not content to let Wietrzny control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Igor Wietrzny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wietrzny has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
