Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Seery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munoz comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne ft Drake - Right above it. Seery has chosen An Irish Pub Song as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seery tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Seery has Munoz up against the cage in a clinch.

It looked like Munoz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Seery clinches up with Munoz and pushes him back against the cage. Seery doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

He has hold of a leg but Seery is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Munoz persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Seery preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Seery holds on and takes a little breather. Seery looking for a sweep. Not yet Seery, not yet. Munoz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Munoz trying to control the position from guard on top but Seery is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Munoz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seery can do anything to dispel that myth. Munoz is looking to work some ground and pound but Seery has wrist control. Munoz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Munoz throws an elbow that misses. Seery uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Munoz's guard. Nice move by Seery!

Seery controls from within his opponent's guard. Munoz has Seery pulled in close to control his posture. Munoz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seery is aware though and is defending well. Munoz pulls Seery in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seery let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Seery connects with a body shot that sends Munoz's belly button to the back. Seery lands an overhand right. Seery misses with a wild body shot. Seery with a hook. Seery is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Seery has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munoz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Seery finds it's way round the side to connect with Munoz's head. Munoz has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. A lazy left from Seery finds it's target. Seery throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Munoz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Munoz connects with a crisp jab. Seery throws a lazy right hand but Munoz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Munoz is looking for a counter combo. Munoz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Munoz is rocked! Seery cracks Munoz with a right hand to the side of the head. Oh Munoz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Munoz misses with a few strikes there.

Patrick Seery showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Munoz throws a big counter combination but Seery scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. A big left from Seery misses. Seery looks to score with a jab to the body but Munoz is just out of range. Munoz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Munoz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Seery is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Munoz like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Munoz from another fist facial!

After winning the bout, Patrick Seery thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
