The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smaxsons is fending him off so far but Coleman persists. Nope, Smaxsons circles away and we're back to standing.
Coleman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smaxsons sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Coleman decides to pull guard.
Smaxsons wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smaxsons is aware though and is defending well.

Coleman has his foot on Smaxsons's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smaxsons works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Smaxsons has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Smaxsons throws a punch but it's blocked by Coleman.
Coleman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Smaxsons to keep the fight standing.

Smaxsons gets through Coleman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Smaxsons lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Smaxsons cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Smaxsons wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Smaxsons scores with a hook to the body. Coleman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Smaxsons lands a big right hand that sends Coleman crashing to the mat! Smaxsons stays standing though and waves Coleman back to his feet!
Coleman is still on wobbly legs! Can Smaxsons finish him?
Smaxsons ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Coleman's jaw. Coleman's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Smaxsons does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
