Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vayle Belval! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christa Warner! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belval defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Warner. Warner takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Warner tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Belval to counter with a crisp jab. Belval avoids a kick to the body.
Warner has a takedown stuffed. Warner throws a wild body kick that Belval sees coming a mile off. Belval throws a big counter combination but Warner scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Warner doesn't manage to clinch there - Belval circles away.
Belval throws a leg kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warner wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warner tries for a takedown but Belval sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vayle Belval has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christa Warner. The crowd cheers as Belval lands an impressive looking overhand right. Warner doesn't seem phased though. Belval lands a nice looking body shot.
Warner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Belval makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Warner looks winded! Belval scores with a sloppy right hand. Warner should have avoided that one. A punch lands to the side of Warner 's head but he takes it in his stride. Warner has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Belval. Belval avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Belval uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Warner takes a body punch but keeps moving. Belval moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belval fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Belval scores with a jab to the body. Belval's jab looks to have found its range, popping Warner under the eye. Warner moves forwards but Belval connects with a nice, crisp jab. Warner looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Belval fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Warner on the side of the head. Belval punishes Warner's body with a nice straight punch. Belval lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Warner at a distance.
A lazy left from Belval finds it's target. An inside leg kick from Belval misses. Christa Warner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Belval avoids the head kick by Warner.
Belval swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Belval lands a head shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belval comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Belval lands a right hook to the body.
Warner blocks a low kick nicely. Warner gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Belval lands the left hand. Belval is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Belval!
Belval changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nice jab there from Belval. Belval scores with a jab to the body. Belval scores with a hook. Vayle Belval is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Warner on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Warner is rocked! Belval lands a nice hook to Warner's body. Warner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jab, jab by Belval - just one landing. Warner is still on wobbly legs! Can Belval finish him? Belval scores with a hook. Belval lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Belval scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Belval circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Warner to the canvas! Warner doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Belval keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
