Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ivan Putski and Eli Armis. Armis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mortal Kombat Theme. Eli Armis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Ivan Putski! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Eli Armis!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Armis fails to land the takedown.

Putski has closed the distance and engaged Armis in a clinch.
Armis tries to pull guard but Putski holds him up against the cage and eventually Armis drops back down to his feet.

Putski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Armis can't fight it off and eventually Putski manages to take the fight to the floor. Armis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Putski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Armis is trying to control the position but Putski postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Putski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Putski has managed to get both his arms back between Armis's legs - danger averted.
Putski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Armis is pulling down on Putski's head. It's preventing any offense from Putski, at least for the moment.
Putski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Putski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Armis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Putski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Putski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Putski wants to take a breather but Armis is having none of it.
Armis is looking to improve his position.

Armis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Putski is working away from the top position though.

Putski is looking to take a break and control but Armis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Putski is really struggling to control Armis but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Armis desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Armis is trying to maintain the position but Putski is very close to passing his half guard.

Putski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Armis keeps working.
