Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Closov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel St Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Closov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't be touched. The key to victory for Oliver Closov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel St Cormier! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Cormier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Daniel St Cormier has been cut. Closov throws a body punch but St Cormier moves out of range. Closov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Closov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. St Cormier sees it coming and avoids it easily. Closov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. St Cormier scores with a takedown into Closov's guard. St Cormier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. St Cormier cracks Closov with a solid left hand. Closov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Closov tries to get out of the position. Closov keeping moving, preventing St Cormier from controlling successfully. St Cormier being controlled here momentarily. St Cormier in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

St Cormier controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. St Cormier distracts Closov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Cormier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. St Cormier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. St Cormier wants to control from the top but Closov keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. St Cormier missing with a left hand there. Closov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Closov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Closov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and St Cormier counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Cormier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. It seemed like St Cormier was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Closov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Closov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but St Cormier manages to avoid it. Closov misses with a hook. St Cormier ducked under it nicely. St Cormier fails with the takedown. A telegraphed right hand from Closov misses the target. Closov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Closov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. St Cormier sees it coming and avoids it easily. Closov lands with a good body shot. Closov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Closov throws a lazy right hand but St Cormier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And St Cormier tries to counter it with a takedown but Closov pushes his down on his head and steps out. A jab from Closov misses. St Cormier changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Closov throws a lazy uppercut
and St Cormier counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. St Cormier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. St Cormier tries to clinch but Closov moves out of range. St Cormier dodges the punch combination from Closov.
St Cormier ducks under a wild hook from Closov. The fighters circle momentarily. Closov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. St Cormier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Closov.
St Cormier drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Closov defends it well. Closov misses with a straight right. St Cormier shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than St Cormier was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Closov is looking to get back to his feet here but St Cormier is keeping cool and he's managed to take Closov's back. Closov is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! St Cormier throwing wild punches that miss their target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Cormier punishes Closov with strikes from the back mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Cormier thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. St Cormier misses with an elbow to the head. St Cormier lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. St Cormier is working the ground and pound. Can Closov escape? St Cormier thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. St Cormier somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. St Cormier scores with punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Cormier punches Closov on the ear.
Closov is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Daniel St Cormier will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Daniel St Cormier's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
St Cormier scores with a crisp jab that stopped Closov in his tracks. St Cormier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. St Cormier throws an overhand right that lands on Closov's shoulder, as Closov tries to avoid the shot. Closov lands a nice looking body shot.
Closov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
St Cormier lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Closov throws the left hand but St Cormier avoids the punch easily. A slow jab from Closov misses its intended target. St Cormier throws out a counter right but Closov avoids it with no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Cormier digs a good hook to Closov's body.
St Cormier lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Closov is on the wrong end of a nice combination from St Cormier. Oh Closov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. St Cormier postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Closov bigstyle! Two more strikes land for St Cormier and the fight is over!
