Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kucki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Kucki!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kucki throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kucki is defended easily by Lahey.
Lahey scores with a punch to the head.
Lahey feints and then cracks Kucki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kucki down.
Lahey throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Ivan Kucki has been cut.
Kucki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kucki tries to clinch up.
Kucki fails with a takedown attempt.

Kucki goes for a double leg but Lahey avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lahey continues to drive forward.
Lahey quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Jim Lahey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Kucki.
Kucki tries to close the distance and clinch but Lahey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kucki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lahey has Kucki pushed against the cage.

Lahey keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kucki's efforts to push away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lahey takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kucki is rocked!
Lahey will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kucki up against the cage.
Lahey putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Kucki in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Lahey lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Lahey is pushing Kucki up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Lahey comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


That has opened up Ivan Kucki's cut even more.
Lahey lands a knee to the head.
Lahey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kucki avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lahey drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kucki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lahey displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kucki up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lahey manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Lahey cracks Kucki with a nice body shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lahey lands an elbow that stopped Kucki in his tracks for a moment.
Lahey working the clinch nicely. Kucki is working for position but Lahey cracks him with a big knee to the head! Kucki crumples up against the cage and Lahey lands two more shots before the ref can save Kucki! This one is all over!
