4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulo Henrigue Bordignon Miyao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sol Dier! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bordignon Miyao clinches with his opponent.
Bordignon Miyao gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dier manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Bordignon Miyao keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes. Dier is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bordignon Miyao is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dier to the mat. Dier regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Bordignon Miyao forces his way into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dier can do anything to dispel that myth. Bordignon Miyao wants to work for an arm triangle but Dier is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bordignon Miyao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bordignon Miyao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dier keeps working. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bordignon Miyao is looking for a kimura but Dier is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bordignon Miyao to get the leverage. Dier is controlling Bordignon Miyao's trapped leg to prevent Bordignon Miyao from advancing to side control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bordignon Miyao in particular looking to stall. Bordignon Miyao passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dier! Dier is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dier is controlling an arm, preventing Bordignon Miyao from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dier has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Bordignon Miyao shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dier scores with a body shot.
Dier lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bordignon Miyao at a distance.
Dier misses with a left hand and Bordignon Miyao counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dier won't be happy with that. Dier is looking to get back to his feet here but Bordignon Miyao is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dier's back. Dier is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dier is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bordignon Miyao gets his way!

Dier trying to control the other hand but Bordignon Miyao gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Dier has tapped out! The fight is over!
