Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Hamper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Syrowatka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syrowatka has chosen Slash - Nothing to Say as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harry Hamper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Artur Syrowatka! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamper moves in looking to clinch but Syrowatka pushes him off. Syrowatka tries to land a leg kick but Hamper saw it coming and moves away.
Hamper tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Syrowatka manages to circle out of the way. Syrowatka swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hamper. Syrowatka throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hamper counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hamper working the head and body with strikes. Hamper slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Syrowatka with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hamper keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hamper seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Syrowatka for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hamper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Syrowatka keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Syrowatka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hamper takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hamper half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Syrowatka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamper is looking to clinch. Syrowatka let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Syrowatka throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hamper counters with a nice double leg into side control. Syrowatka won't be happy with that. Hamper controlling from side mount. Syrowatka struggling a bit here. Syrowatka dodges the ground and pound from Hamper.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Syrowatka being controlled for a moment. Hamper working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hamper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. You can see the frustration on Syrowatka's face as Hamper controls the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Syrowatka can do anything to dispel that myth. Syrowatka wants to control but Hamper postures up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hamper controls the position. Hamper trying to control the position but Syrowatka is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hamper taking a breather here. Syrowatka can't do much from the bottom here. A close round but Artur Syrowatka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Syrowatka throws a hook to the side of Hamper's head but Hamper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hamper closes the distance looking to clinch and Syrowatka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hamper goes for a double leg but Syrowatka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Syrowatka continues to drive forward. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamper has Syrowatka up against the cage in a clinch.
Hamper wants to take the fight to the mat but Syrowatka manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Syrowatka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Syrowatka's coach down at Better Than Cozad was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Syrowatka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hamper throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Syrowatka blocks it with crossed arms. Hamper trying to control the position but instead, Syrowatka has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hamper into the cage. Syrowatka tries to break free but Hamper pushes him back against the cage. Syrowatka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A nice combination there by Syrowatka.

Syrowatka is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hamper rather than just go for the knockout. Syrowatka connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hamper momentarily.
Hamper slips a straight right by Syrowatka. Hamper is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Syrowatka. Syrowatka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Syrowatka throws a series of punches but Hamper moves out of range. Hamper changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Syrowatka has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hamper throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Syrowatka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hamper is in Syrowatka's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Syrowatka lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Syrowatka is fighting to break Hamper's control of his arms but Hamper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hamper keeping moving, preventing Syrowatka from controlling successfully. Hamper is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Syrowatka's guard. Hamper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hamper wants to control from the top but Syrowatka keeps moving. Harry Hamper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hamper is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hamper forces his way into half guard. Hamper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Syrowatka does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Syrowatka won't allow Hamper to pass to mount. Hamper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Syrowatka's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hamper lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Syrowatka is refusing to be controlled, as Hamper sits in half guard. Still in half guard, Hamper seems content to control. Hamper working the head and body with strikes. Hamper throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hamper is stalling here. Syrowatka is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hamper seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Syrowatka has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Syrowatka decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hamper to his feet. Syrowatka lands a jab-cross combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Artur Syrowatka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Syrowatka manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Hamper tries to land a knee to the head but Syrowatka blocks with his arms.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Syrowatka throws a wild combination but nothing lands. That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamper just content to control the position. Syrowatka on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hamper cracks Syrowatka with a big right hand but Syrowatka just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hamper landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Hamper scores with a couple of short elbows. Hamper takes a little break here. Syrowatka wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Hamper wants to control but Syrowatka is keeping him busy. Hamper goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Syrowatka rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hamper's guard! Nice work there by Syrowatka! Artur Syrowatka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hamper not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Syrowatka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hamper looking for a sweep. Not yet Hamper, not yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Artur Syrowatka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Syrowatka winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
