Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Young Blount (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thaddeus Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Young Blount! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blount's guard. Blount is wriggling around but Bell manages to pass to half guard.
Blount has hold of Bell's hands but Bell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Blount blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bell. Blount avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bell. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bell in particular looking to stall. Blount trying to control from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell lands strikes from half guard. Bell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Blount avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bell. Bell content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell decides to stand and escape the position. Blount tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Blount has time to react. Blount tries to close the distance and clinch but Bell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bell tries to counter by clinching up but Blount breaks away and moves out of range. Blount misses with a takedown attempt and Bell counters with a single leg into guard. Blount didn't expect that. Blount looks winded! Bell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bell distracts Blount with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Blount can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bell controls the pace. Bell lands a couple of elbows. Bell is looking to work some ground and pound but Blount has wrist control. Bell with a flurry of punches that miss. Bell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Blount working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bell. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blount is proving hard to escape from.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Blount. Bell looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Blount doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blount won't be happy with that. Bell working the ground and pound from side control. Bell is staying tight to Blount's torso, preventing him from escaping. Bell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Blount is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bell in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Bell takes a little break here. Blount wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Blount for as long as he can get away with. Blount managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bell.
Bell working the head and body with strikes. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blount struggling a bit here. Bell stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thaddeus Bell dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blount clinches up against the cage. Blount wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Blount drags the fight down to the ground.
Blount has momentary wrist control but Bell slips an elbow through the middle. Bell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blount works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blount's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blount can do to turn this around? Blount is working an open guard so Bell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Blount is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blount tries to clinch up. Blount lands a head kick. Bell smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Thaddeus Bell has been cut. Blount throws a lazy head kick and Bell counters with a head kick. Blount misses with a takedown attempt and Bell counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bell shoots in looking for a takedown. Blount tries to sprawl out of it but Bell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blount manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Blount wants to counter with a clinch but Bell pushes him away. Bell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Blount lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blount gets caught napping as Bell dives in and scores a takedown. Blount manages to retain guard. Bell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bell works over Blount with some ground and pound from guard. Bell connects with a couple of short punches. Bell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bell scoring with some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blount can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bell controls the pace. Blount wants to stand up but Bell is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell is in close to Blount's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bell throws a big elbow that misses. Bell stopping the sweep attempt from Blount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bell moves into the clinch. Bell is struggling to control the position. Bell pulls guard effortlessly. Bell wants to stand up but Blount is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell controlling Blount's posture. Blount must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Blount stopping the sweep attempt from Bell. Blount trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are working up against the cage. Bell manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bell tries a body shot but Blount blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thaddeus Bell dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Thaddeus Bell's cut. That's time! Bell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Blount tries a head kick but it misses.
Bell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bell fails with a takedown attempt. Bell fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Blount to the ground. Bell is now in Blount's guard. Blount kicks Bell off and gets to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blount fails with a takedown attempt. Blount takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Blount tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bell counters with a shoot takedown. Blount fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Blount's head. Bell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bell working some strikes from top position. Bell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blount is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bell is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blount. Blount tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bell lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Bell drives through with a takedown into guard. Bell working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bell scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Bell connects with a couple of short punches. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bell with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blount avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bell clinches with his opponent.
Blount tries a knee to the head but Bell blocks it.
Blount wants to break free but Bell has control.
Bell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Blount prevents it.
Blount jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bell walks away with a smile on his face. Blount gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Thaddeus Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Young Blount. Blount keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Young Blount has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thaddeus Bell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blount misses with a kick to the body and Bell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Thaddeus Bell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
