Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Jack has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Archie Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jack misses with a low kick.

Jack moves into the clinch successfully.
Jack lands a body punch in the clinch.
Tyson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jack pushes Tyson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Jack lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jack throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tysons head.
Tyson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jack prevents it.
Jimmy Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Archie Tyson.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tyson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyson off to one side.

Tyson wants to improve his position but Jack is controlling well.
Tyson is looking to control Jack's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyson avoid being mounted?

Jack working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jack is looking to take a break and control but Tyson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jack lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tyson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jack is working away from the top position though.
Jack perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jack is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Jack seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tyson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jack works his foot free and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Tyson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jack is looking to stand up but Tyson isn't so interested in that idea.

Jack is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tyson sees it coming and defends easily.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet.

Tyson is refusing to be controlled, as Jack sits in half guard.

Tyson is not content to let Jack control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jack is looking for a kimura here.
Tyson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jack is working away from the top position though.

Tyson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tyson somewhat.
