Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Campos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campos shoots and misses and Silva counters with a nice body shot. Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Campos shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Campos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Campos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Campos is proving a slippery customer.
Campos stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. Campos throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campos is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva is looking for a sweep. Campos throws a head kick that misses and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Campos down. Campos avoids the body shot from Silva.
Campos tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot. Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Campos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Campos trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Campos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Campos wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Campos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Campos tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Silva wants to sweep here but Campos controlling him for the moment. Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Campos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva! Campos is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Anderson Silva will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva keeps the fight on the outside. A head kick misses from Campos. Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Campos moves away. Campos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control! Campos working the ground and pound. Campos working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Silva is trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campos working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Campos postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campos wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Campos working away. Silva is trying to work for a sweep but Campos has mounted him! Silva can't escape the position.
Campos goes for an armbar but Silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silva. Campos seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Campos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Campos has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Campos is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silva is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silva has escaped and now he's on top!
Silva stands and steps away. Campos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Silva has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Campos is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Campos is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Silva.
