Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero looks for a takedown but Weaver sprawls well.
Weaver was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Romero pushes Weaver up against the cage in a clinch.
Weaver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Romero is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Weaver stalling in the clinch.

Romero lands an elbow inside that Weaver shrugs off.
Weaver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Romero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Romero lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romero misses with some punches.
Romero landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Romero unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Weaver tries for a takedown but Romero manages to get underhooks.
Weaver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Romero connects with a body shot that sends Weaver's belly button to the back.
Donk. Romero catches Weaver right on the button with a cross.
Weaver on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Romero throws a sloppy head kick and Weaver moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Weaver.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winston Weaver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Weaver looks to score with a jab to the body but Romero is just out of range.
Weaver tries to move into range but Romero moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Romero clinches up with Weaver and pushes him back against the cage.
Romero misses with a short punch on the inside.
Romero looks winded!
Weaver has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Romero after a bit of a struggle.
Romero throws an elbow but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weaver tries to pull guard but Romero holds him up against the cage and eventually Weaver drops back down to his feet.
Weaver stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Weaver decides to pull guard.
Romero wants to stand but Weaver is controlling his posture from full guard.
Romero engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Weaver has control of Romero's left arm, preventing Romero from doing any damage.
Weaver is trying to keep Romero in close.

Romero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weaver swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Romero postures up.
Weaver wants to stand and escape but Romero is having none of it.
Weaver is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Romero frees his head nicely. Oh but Weaver has switched to an armbar! Romero is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
