Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikita Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jihbo Muhozi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikita Kalashnikov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jihbo Muhozi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikita Kalashnikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jihbo Muhozi! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muhozi forces Kalashnikov back against the ropes and clinches. Muhozi can't break the clinch.
Muhozi has had enough of the clinch but Kalashnikov keeps him there for the moment. Muhozi gets underhooks to prevent Kalashnikov's takedown attempt.
Muhozi wants to break free but Kalashnikov has control.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikita Kalashnikov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalashnikov is trying to drag Muhozi to the mat but Muhozi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. A short right from Muhozi. Kalashnikov prevents Muhozi from breaking the clinch. Muhozi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Muhozi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Muhozi breaks the clinch.
Kalashnikov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Horrible takedown by Kalashnikov or perhaps it was just good defense by Muhozi which made him look bad. Muhozi digs a good body shot into Kalashnikov's ribs. Kalashnikov is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muhozi lands a left and a right that sends Kalashnikov crashing to the canvas! Muhozi dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like Nikita Kalashnikov has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kalashnikov is looking to improve his position but Muhozi isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kalashnikov in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Muhozi loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kalashnikov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Muhozi land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Muhozi stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jihbo Muhozi!
