Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taisto Murkula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murkula comes to the cage accompanied by Forever Angel. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taisto Murkula! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenta Kobashi! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murkula thuds a left hand into Kobashi's body. Murkula lands an overhand right. Murkula feints and as Kobashi raises his hands in defense, Murkula changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kobashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kobashi wants to sweep here but Murkula controlling him for the moment. Kobashi pulls Murkula in close to prevent any damage. Murkula stopping the sweep attempt from Kobashi. Kobashi is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Murkula wants a takedown.

Murkula landing with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murkula accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kobashi is on top in guard.

Murkula has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kobashi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murkula wants to sweep but no luck. Kobashi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kobashi is continuing to stall. Kobashi wants to control from the top but Murkula keeps moving. Kobashi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Murkula looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kobashi stays in close to Murkula's body and controls the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Murkula keeping moving, preventing Kobashi from controlling successfully. Kobashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kobashi wants to get up but he can't break Murkula's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Murkula bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kobashi throws out a loose jab but Murkula uses good head movement to avoid it. Kobashi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kobashi defending well as Murkula loads up on a big left hand. Murkula throws a poor cross that misses
and Kobashi counters with a low kick, right behind Murkula 's knee. Kobashi throws a nice inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taisto Murkula dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kobashi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Murkula takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Murkula misses with a looping right. It seemed like Kobashi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Murkula misses the shot to the body. Kobashi tries to bum rush Murkula with a series of wild strikes but Murkula uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kobashi avoids a kick to the body.
Kobashi looks to land a body kick but Murkula moved away. Kobashi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kobashi misses with an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kobashi darts in and clinches Murkula up against the cage. Kobashi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

and Murkula counters with a lovely straight right hand! Murkula on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kenta Kobashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kobashi cracks Murkula with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Murkula looks to score with a jab to the body but Kobashi is just out of range.

Murkula seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Kobashi moves out of range of the body kick from Murkula.

Kenta Kobashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Kobashi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Murkula throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kobashi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Murkula does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Murkula waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kobashi. Murkula lunges at Kobashi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kobashi's hand. Kobashi throws a hook but Murkula blocks it. Kobashi scores with a kick to the midsection. Kobashi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Murkula throws a hook but Kobashi blocks it. Kobashi tries a quick counter leg kick but Murkula is wise to it. Kobashi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kobashi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kobashi throws an off balance right hand
and Murkula makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kenta Kobashi seems to be getting the better of the standup. Murkula rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Murkula takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kobashi swings for the body but Murkula moves out of range.

Kobashi is looking to score with low kicks. Kobashi throws a front kick that sends Murkula stumbling back into the cage. Murkula misses with a low kick. Kobashi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Murkula tries to keep at a distance but Kobashi has taken the fight into the clinch. Murkula misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kobashi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A frustrated look appears on Murkula's face as he tries to break the clinch. Murkula wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kobashi has him pressed against the cage. Kobashi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Murkula lands a lovely overhand right. This has been an exciting period of action! Murkula with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kobashi to score with a decent uppercut. Kobashi lands with an overhand left. Murkula ducks under a wild hook from Kobashi. Murkula getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kobashi throws a head kick that misses and Murkula connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kobashi, right into the meat.
