Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gap Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller's entrance music is Logic feat. Castro - Ballin. A fine choice. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gap Turner!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.
Miller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miller uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Turner has time to react.
Miller connects with a body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Turner as he connects with a hook.
Turner throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Turner or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller, which made it look bad.
Miller looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Miller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Turner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Turner is looking to land body kicks.
Miller lands a jab-cross combination.
Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Miller throws a hook but Turner blocks it.
Turner throws a counter combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Turner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Miller misses with an attempted mid kick.
Miller pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick misses from Turner.
Miller connects with a single shot there.

Miller lands a nice looking body kick.
A left lands for Miller.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.
Johnny Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gap Turner.
Miller wants to land a leg kick but Turner is out of range.
Miller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Turner throws out the jab.
Miller stalks Turner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Turner's face. Turner staggers backwards, shaken.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Miller.
Miller throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Turner counters with a nice uppercut.

Miller throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The fighters circling - Turner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Miller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turner.
A swing and a miss from Turner.
Turner jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Miller lands an overhand right.
Miller misses with a looping left.
Turner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Miller defends well and Turner ends up having to push Miller into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Turner throws a leg kick that is checked
and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Turner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Miller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Miller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Turner working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Miller is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Turner lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Miller works his way to full guard. Good work.

Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Miller is keeping the position for now.
Turner wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turner's guard.

Miller is working Turner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Miller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Turner keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Turner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Turner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Turner walks into a left hand.
Turner slips a straight right by Miller.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Miller.
Turner keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Miller.
Miller scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Turner throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.
Turner throws a push kick but Miller slaps the foot to one side.
Johnny Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller scores with a nice head shot.
A jab from Miller does it's job there.
Miller misses with a straight left.
Miller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Miller on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Turner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Miller defends it nicely.

Turner fails with the takedown.

Turner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miller to the ground. Turner is now in Miller's guard.

Turner throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Turner looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miller has picked Turner up and slammed him! Turner can't keep hold of the triangle and Miller manages to pass to side control!

Miller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Turner wants to get back to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller is nestled in close to Turner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Turner wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.
Miller looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Miller throwing shots but Turner is blocking nicely.

Miller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turner can do to turn this around?
Turner has hold of Miller's hands but Miller slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miller is on top in guard.

Turner manages to work his way to half guard, despite Miller's best efforts.
Miller winds up and cracks Turner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Turner is looking to control Miller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted?

Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
