Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kezz The Convict! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. The Convict darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ward scores with a sloppy right hand. The Convict should have avoided that one. The Convict throws a good cross that connects.
Ward clobbers The Convict with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The Convict misses with an uppercut. Ward throws a right hand that The Convict ducks under and follows up with a left that The Convict also avoids with ease. The Convict scores with a one two! Ward had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The Convict throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The Convict lands with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ward misses with a few strikes there.
The Convict slips a straight right by Ward. Ward waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract The Convict. Ward misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from The Convict.
A combination from Ward does no damage. Ward throws a combination. The Convict tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Greg Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ward gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ward misses with a right hand and The Convict connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ward takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The Convict works the jab nicely. The Convict jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ward is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. The Convict circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Ward to the canvas! Ward doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - The Convict keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kezz The Convict! Our winner, Kezz The Convict, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
