Douglas has chosen Rubber Chicken by Caspa as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Douglas acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher shoots in but Douglas avoids the takedown attempt easily. John Douglas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Douglas throws a head kick but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher slips a jab and a cross from Douglas.
Fisher is looking to clinch. Fisher swats away the attempt to clinch by Douglas. Fisher takes one to the chin there. Douglas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Douglas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Douglas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fisher! Fisher in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Douglas scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher gets back to half guard. Douglas slows the pace down in half guard. Fisher regains full guard. Nicely done. Douglas with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Douglas throws a big right hand that misses. Douglasis looking to pass into half guard but Fisher pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fisher is in guard. Fisher works a leg free and moves into half guard. Douglas looks gassed! Fisher trying to control from half guard but Douglas is working away. Douglas wants to control but Fisher is keeping busy.

Douglas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fisher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fisher is pushing down on Douglas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Douglas is fighting to maintain full guard but Fisher has managed to sneak the leg through. Fisher seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Fisher is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Douglas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fisher. Douglas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Douglas gets full guard. Fisher pushing down on Douglas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Douglas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Douglas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Douglas can do anything to dispel that myth. Douglas wants to sweep but no luck. Douglas is striking but Fisher is not phased and passes to half guard. Douglas tries to roll over but Fisher keeps him under control. Fisher is keen to just control but Douglas is a slippery customer. Fisher seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Douglas is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
