Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A left and a right from Holt both land. Nice combination.
Holt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Conrad moves in looking to clinch but Holt pushes him off.
Conrad fails in his attempt to clinch.
Holt lands a body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Holt.
Conrad throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holt was covering up waiting for the punch and Conrad finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Holt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Holt cracks Conrad with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Conrad wants to get back to striking at distance but Holt won't allow it.

Holt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Conrad has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Holt.

and Conrad counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Holt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Conrad off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Conrad will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Holt lands a nice hook to Conrad's body. Conrad takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Holt has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
