Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maciej Zegan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergio Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
27 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Maciej Zegan!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Zegan circles away from the clinch attempt
and Zegan counters with a nice uppercut.
Zegan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tanaka crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Zegan - the referee stops the clock and Tanaka gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Zegan. Tanaka manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tanaka moves in looking to clinch but Zegan pushes him off.
Zegan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Zegan cracks Tanaka with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Zegan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zegan scores with a nice head shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zegan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zegan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tanaka is rocked!
Tanaka with a poor takedown
and Zegan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tanaka shoots and misses
and Zegan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oh Tanaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Tanaka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tanaka is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zegan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tanaka seems to have got his legs back now.
Zegan closes the distance and clinches.
Zegan lands a body punch.
Zegan lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Zegan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tanaka's defenses.
Zegan manages to break the clinch.
Tanaka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice body kick there by Zegan.
Zegan gets a clinch.
Tanaka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zegan to keep the fight standing.
Zegan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tanaka takes a jab right on the kisser.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zegan cracks the inside of Tanaka's front leg.
Zegan cracks Tanaka with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tanaka looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Zegan finish him?
Tanaka with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zegan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zegan lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Tanaka falls backwards - clearly groggy! Zegan dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maciej Zegan!
Maciej Zegan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
