Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ezequiel Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ono Resko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ezequiel Wilkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ono Resko! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkinson misses with a double jab
and Resko counters with a left to the body. Resko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Resko checks a leg kick. Wilkinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Resko tries to sprawl out of it but Wilkinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Resko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Resko moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Resko wants to break free but Wilkinson has control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson is trying to pull guard but Resko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wilkinson tries to break the clinch but Resko is controlling the position. Wilkinson is trying to push Resko away but Resko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Resko lands a body punch in the clinch. Wilkinson tries to pull guard but Resko holds him up against the cage and eventually Wilkinson drops back down to his feet.

Resko misses with a knee to the head. Wilkinson is trying to pull guard but Resko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Resko trying to control the position but instead, Wilkinson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Resko into the cage. Resko lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Resko. Wilkinson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Resko tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wilkinson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson breaks the clinch.
Resko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wilkinson swings widly with a right hand
and Resko counters with a three punch combo that has Wilkinson backing up. Wilkinson nods at Resko to acknowledge the strikes. Resko throws a sloppy body shot
and Wilkinson counters with a series of strikes. Resko will be more careful next time no doubt. The fight stays on the outside here - Wilkinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Resko moves out of range of the body kick from Wilkinson.
Wilkinson shoots for a double leg takedown but Resko sprawls well. He's pushed Wilkinson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilkinson throws a right hand that Resko ducks under and follows up with a left that Resko also avoids with ease. Resko is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson thows a left - swing and a miss! Wilkinson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Horrible takedown attempt by Wilkinson or perhaps it was just good defense by Resko, which made it look bad. Resko throws a body shot but no joy. Resko doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wilkinson counters with a shoot takedown. Resko fights it but they end up in guard. Wilkinson wants to control from the top but Resko keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson is standing up over Resko. Resko looks to escape but Wilkinson dives into side control.
Wilkinson in side control lands a decent elbow. Resko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wilkinson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Resko is pushing Wilkinson's head away, looking to escape. Wilkinson manages to hold on to the position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ono Resko will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Wilkinson throws the left hand but Resko avoids the punch easily. Resko is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Resko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Resko doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Wilkinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Resko swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wilkinson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Resko's calf. Resko moves out of range of the body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Resko as Wilkinson shoots in. Wilkinson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Resko is breathing heavily.

Resko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wilkinson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Resko is trying to force a seperation but Wilkinson has the dominant position. Resko has a couple of punches blocked by Wilkinson.
Wilkinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wilkinson shoots in for a double leg but Resko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Resko is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wilkinson with a body shot. Wilkinson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wilkinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Resko darts in and clinches Wilkinson up against the cage. Wilkinson jumps guard and drags Resko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wilkinson is trying to keep Resko in close.
Wilkinson is really struggling to control Resko but he's trying to hold on to the position. Wilkinson has his foot on Resko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Resko works his way back into a safe position though. Resko wants to stand and escape but instead Wilkinson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wilkinson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson drops back looking for a leg! Resko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Resko manages to kick Wilkinson off! Wilkinson jumps back into Resko's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Resko wants to stand up but Wilkinson is controlling him. Wilkinson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wilkinson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Resko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilkinson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Resko is working an open guard so Wilkinson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Wilkinson throws a push kick but Resko slaps the foot to one side. A combination from Wilkinson does no damage. Wilkinson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Resko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wilkinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wilkinson is trying to pull guard but Resko has him pressed against the cage. Ezequiel Wilkinson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wilkinson scores with a one two! Resko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Resko takes a swing at Wilkinson's ribcage but misses. Resko is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Wilkinson rather than just go for the knockout. Wilkinson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Resko. Resko gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wilkinson moves in looking to clinch but Resko pushes him off. As Wilkinson backs off Resko throws a huge counter combo but Wilkinson manages to avoid it all. Wilkinson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Resko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilkinson wants to clinch but Resko slips to the side and Resko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Resko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wilkinson.
A nice side step and Resko releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
That's one minute gone in the round. Resko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Wilkinson wants to clinch. Wilkinson tries to land a front kick but Resko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A shot to the body from Resko misses and Wilkinson counters with a three punch combo that has Resko backing up. Resko nods at Wilkinson to acknowledge the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson fails to land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilkinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilkinson tries to clinch there but Resko circles away.

Ezequiel Wilkinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilkinson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Resko circles away quickly and effectively. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wilkinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A looping hook to the body misses from Resko. Wilkinson does a little dance to reset his feet. Wilkinson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wilkinson is defended easily by Resko. A nice side step and Resko releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wilkinson takes a swing at Resko's ribcage but misses. Resko doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Ezequiel Wilkinson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wilkinson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
