Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernie Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Mahonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernie Suarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Mahonni! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez goes for a double leg but Mahonni avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mahonni continues to drive forward. Mahonni throws a head kick that misses. Mahonni has taken the fight to the clinch.
Suarez tries to pull guard but Mahonni won't allow it.
Suarez working some nice short punches in the clinch. Suarez jumps guard but Mahonni turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ernie Suarez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mahonni breaks from the clinch.
Suarez tries to sprawl but Mahonni drives through with a takedown into half guard. Mahonni is looking to advance position but Suarez won't allow it. Suarez trying to control from the bottom.
Mahonni performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mahonni seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
It looks like Ernie Suarez has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mahonni working over Suarez with some ground and pound. Suarez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mahonni trying to pass the guard but Suarez defending well. Suarez missing with punches from the bottom.
Mahonni is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like Mahonni might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Suarez wants to control but Mahonni is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mahonni wants to stand up but Suarez has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Suarez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Suarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mahonni dives in and scores a takedown into Suarez's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mahonni sitting in guard here, content to control. Suarez scores with a nice shot. Suarez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Mahonni is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mahonni looking to pass the guard. Suarez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mahonni stands and steps away. Suarez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Suarez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mahonni lands a left and a right that send Suarez crashing to the mat, dazed. Mahonni thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Suarez is rocked! Mahonni connects with a superb combination that knocks Suarez out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Mahonni before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Suarez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Evan Mahonni!
