Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Fayth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinbad Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baba comes into a darkened arena with his song building. King of Seven Seas kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Ray Fayth has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ray Fayth seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Fayth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sinbad Baba! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baba pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fayth is out of range and Baba settles back down. Fayth appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Baba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Baba will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Baba tries to work over Fayth's front leg with a kick but Fayth checks it. Fayth feinted with a counter takedown. Baba throws out a loose jab but Fayth uses good head movement to avoid it. Fayth tries to counter with a takedown but Baba is quick to defend against it. Fayth has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Ray Fayth has been cut. A slow jab from Baba misses its intended target. Fayth changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A big right from Baba misses. Fayth appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Baba has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba misses with a wild combination.

Fayth goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Baba rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fayth's guard! Nice work there by Baba! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baba gets to his feet. Fayth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Baba throws a low kick but Fayth avoids it.

Fayth attempts a counter takedown but Baba avoids it well and moves away. Baba fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fayth has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Some wild striking there from Baba.
Fayth drops his hands momentarily and Baba takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sinbad Baba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A nice combination there by Baba.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A big left from Baba misses. Fayth feinted with a counter takedown. Baba throws a hook but Fayth blocks it. Good standup being displayed there by Baba as he connects with a hook. Baba goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Fayth takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Baba throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Baba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fayth manages to avoid it. Fayth appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Baba misses with a wild body shot. Some wild striking there from Baba.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fayth takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Baba throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fayth counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fayth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baba is just riding it out for now. Fayth eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sinbad Baba dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ray Fayth's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Baba is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Fayth moves out of range of the strikes. No joy there for Baba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Baba throws a leg kick and Fayth counters with a single leg into guard. Baba didn't expect that. Fayth postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Baba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fayth, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fayth is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fayth is looking for a triangle but Baba pushes his legs off easily.
Fayth looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fayth pulls Baba in close to his closed guard and prevents Baba from doing any damage or advancing position. Fayth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fayth has an active guard here but Baba has managed to pass into half guard.

Baba has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Baba has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Baba scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Fayth appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Baba scores with a hook to the body. Fayth takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nice shot by Baba. A jab from Baba misses. Fayth feinted with a counter takedown. Baba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fayth moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fayth feinted with a counter takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baba misses with a looping left. Sinbad Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baba scoring well with a low kick there.

Sinbad Baba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ray Fayth's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fayth's head backwards. Baba swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baba! Baba working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baba decides to stand back up. Baba steps back and let's Fayth get back to his feet. Baba forces Fayth back against the cage and clinches. Fayth is trying to drag Baba to the mat but Baba just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Baba working hard to break the clinch. Fayth drops down looking for an ankle pick but Baba pulls his leg out and moves away.
Baba lands the left hand. Ray Fayth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fayth moves out of range of the strikes. The fighters circling - Baba throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fayth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Fayth tries to move into range but Baba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Baba throws a right and a left that both miss. Fayth attempts a counter takedown but Baba avoids it well and moves away. Some wild striking there from Baba.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Baba rushes Fayth and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Baba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice uppercut lands for Baba. That snapped Fayth's head back.

Fayth half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fayth is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sinbad Baba is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Baba lands with an uppercut that bounces Fayth off the cage and back into range. Baba throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fayth feinted with a counter takedown. A shot to the liver by Baba. Beautiful body shot. Baba lands a two punch combo.
Baba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fayth was well out of range. Poor timing from Baba.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baba rushes Fayth and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Baba swings away with an uppercut that misses.

And that's the end of the fight! Sinbad Baba comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baba has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
