Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ballard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Thompson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Ballard misses.
Ballard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Ballard could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Thompson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ballard's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ballard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thompson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thompson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thompson connects with a nice short shot to Ballard's temple.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thompson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
