McClellan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Avantasia - The Scarecrow. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James McAvoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duane McClellan!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAvoy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McClellan on the side of the head.


It looks like Duane McClellan has been cut.
McClellan loads up on a big right hand but McAvoy slips the punch.
McClellan thows a left - swing and a miss!
McAvoy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McAvoy throws out a loose jab but McClellan uses good head movement to avoid it.
McClellan throws a right hand that misses
and McAvoy counters with a lovely shot to the body.

McAvoy lands a left and a right that send McClellan crashing to the mat, dazed. McAvoy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circling - McClellan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McClellan misses with a looping right.
McAvoy lands a nice hook to McClellan's body. McClellan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McAvoy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McClellan on the side of the head.


That has opened up Duane McClellan's cut even more.
McClellan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McAvoy has time to react.
A swing and a miss from McClellan.
McClellan throws a right hand that misses
and McAvoy counters with a huge left! McClellan is in big trouble! He's backing up but McAvoy isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save McClellan from any more damage. A dominating finish by McAvoy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James McAvoy!
Our winner, James McAvoy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
