PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Puchacki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chanar Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puchacki comes to the cage accompanied by Klatka. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adrian Puchacki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chanar Khan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puchacki fails with the takedown.
Khan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khan throws a counter combo.
Khan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Puchacki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Puchacki gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Khan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Khan has managed to clinch.
Khan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Puchacki to keep the fight standing.

Khan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Puchacki tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan tries to clinch but Puchacki moves out of range.

Puchacki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Puchacki is stalling here. Khan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Puchacki seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Khan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Puchacki will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Puchacki can't do much from the bottom here.

Puchacki is trying to improve his position.

Khan stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Khan has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan lands a hook that snaps the head of Puchacki backwards.
Puchacki tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Khan gets underhooks to prevent Puchacki's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adrian Puchacki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan lands an uppercut.
Puchacki tries to pull guard but Khan holds him up against the cage and eventually Puchacki drops back down to his feet.

Khan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Puchacki's guard.

Khan slips nicely into half guard.

Khan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Puchacki to stand up.
Puchacki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Puchacki scores with a one two! Khan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Puchacki is breathing heavily.
Khan throws a one two combo.

Khan drives through and clinches with Puchacki against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Khan.
Khan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Puchacki backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Puchacki is trying to drag Khan to the mat but Khan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Khan jumps guard but Puchacki turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Khan scores with a hook to the body.
Khan lands a body shot in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Puchacki.
Khan misses with a punch on the inside.
Khan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Khan breaks the clinch.

Khan rushes Puchacki and presses him up against the cage.

Khan jumps into guard, dragging Puchacki to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chanar Khan dominated that round.

Puchacki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Khan throws a counter combo.

Puchacki gets a takedown into half guard.
Puchacki is keen to just control but Khan is a slippery customer.
Khan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Puchacki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Khan is positioning himself well to prevent Puchacki advancing to mount.
Chanar Khan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Puchacki is just content to waste time from the top position. Khan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Puchacki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Khan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Puchacki, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Puchacki is working an open guard so Khan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Puchacki shoots and misses

and Khan counters by moving into the clinch.
Puchacki is trying to break the clinch but Khan has him pressed against the cage.
Khan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Khan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Puchackis head.
Chanar Khan seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Puchacki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Khan can't fight it off and eventually Puchacki manages to take the fight to the floor. Khan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Khan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Puchacki off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Khan looks for a takedown but Puchacki sprawls well.

Khan has closed the distance and engaged Puchacki in a clinch.
Puchacki takes an elbow to the forehead.
Khan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Khan gets underhooks to prevent Puchacki's takedown attempt.
Khan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Khan lands with a light punch inside.
Khan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Khan tries to land a knee to the head but Puchacki blocks with his arms.
Puchacki lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Khan backwards.
Khan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Puchacki pulls guard effortlessly.
Khan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Puchacki blocking some punches.
Khan throws a punch but it's blocked by Puchacki.
Khan is looking for a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chanar Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Puchacki throws a sloppy head kick and Khan moves out of range easily.
Puchacki shoots in looking for a takedown. Khan tries to sprawl out of it but Puchacki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Khan throws a nice head kick!
Khan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Puchacki.
Horrible takedown attempt by Puchacki or perhaps it was just good defense by Khan, which made it look bad.

Khan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Puchacki quickly recovers to half guard.

Khan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Puchacki on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Khan lands an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Khan tries to break the clinch but Puchacki is controlling the position.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Puchacki.

Khan gets control of Puchacki's arms and successfully pulls guard. Khan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Chanar Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Chanar Khan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
