Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demon Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Aldo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demon Beast! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo tries to bum rush Beast with a series of wild strikes but Beast uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Aldo fails to land with a series of punches.
Aldo misses with a few strikes there.
Beast connects with a body shot. Aldo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beast circles away. Aldo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Beast gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Aldo fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Aldo closes the distance and clinches up with Beast, looking for a takedown. Aldo pushes Beast against the cage but Beast circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Beast takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Aldo throws a series of punches but Beast avoids them all with ease. Aldo closes the distance and lands a one-two. Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beast circles away quickly and effectively. Both fighters circling a little - Beast finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Beast. No joy for Aldo on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Aldo. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big right from Aldo misses. Aldo misses with a two punch combination.

Beast fails with a takedown attempt. Aldo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Beast dodges the punch combination from Aldo.
Aldo shoots and misses and Beast counters with a shoot takedown. Aldo fights it but they end up in guard. Beast has gone for a leg lock! Aldo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Beast's guard. Beast is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast pulls Aldo in close to his closed guard and prevents Aldo from doing any damage or advancing position. Beast trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Beast thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Beast pulls Aldo in to control the position. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aldo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beast counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Beast looks gassed! Beast wants to pass the guard but Aldo is keeping the position. Beast won't allow Aldo to get back to his feet. Beast stopping the sweep attempt from Aldo. Beast controlling from the top position. Aldo looking to control.
Aldo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beast can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Beast decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aldo, up you get! Aldo scores with a one two! Beast had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Beast dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aldo. That did some damage! Aldo tries for a takedown but Beast circles away easily and Beast counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beast gets to his feet. Aldo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Aldo misses with a takedown and Beast counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aldo won't be happy with that. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Aldo can't do much from the bottom here. Beast content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demon Beast dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Aldo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No joy there for Aldo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Beast counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now. Beast wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving. Beast drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beast jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Beast is breathing heavily. Aldo trying to keep a closed guard but Beast is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Beast is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Demon Beast has got the better of the ground game so far. Beast postures up in Aldo's guard and throws a big left but Aldo blocks it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aldo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Beast momentarily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Aldo with a poor takedown and Beast counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Aldo thinking. Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beast circles away quickly and effectively. Aldo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beast decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aldo's guard. Aldo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Beast throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aldo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aldo trying to control the position.
Aldo keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. Beast drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Beast seems to have locked his on tight now - Aldo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Beast, as he picks up the win!
