Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oisin O Conghaile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think O Conghaile might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Deer's Cry by Angelina. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 29 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oisin O Conghaile! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abu Rock! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from O Conghaile as Rock shoots in. O Conghaile fires out a quick counter leg kick but Rock just manages to avoid it. Rock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. O Conghaile's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rock under the eye. Rock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. O Conghaile trying to hold on to Rock's head to control him but Rock postures up.
O Conghaile actively working from the bottom here. O Conghaile is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Conghaile won't allow Rock to pass to mount. O Conghaile tries to get to full guard but Rock has control of the leg. O Conghaile looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rock got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Conghaile has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rock has managed to get both his arms back between O Conghaile's legs - danger averted. O Conghaile working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rock trying to control the position from guard on top but O Conghaile is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Conghaile is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rock defends well. Rock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. O Conghaile looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Rock is trying to control the action in half guard but O Conghaile is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rock is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Rock seems to be working for a kimura but O Conghaile defends the submission attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rock sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rock lands a nice short elbow. Rock blocks a body shot from O Conghaile. Rock is trying to trip O Conghaile. He has hold of a leg but O Conghaile is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rock persists though and gets the takedown into guard. O Conghaile has his foot on Rock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rock works his way back into a safe position though. Rock got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Conghaile has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rock has managed to get both his arms back between O Conghaile's legs - danger averted. Rock stands and throws O Conghaile's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Conghaile is not content to let Rock control the position. O Conghaile tries to bench press Rock off him but Rock keeps the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rock seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rock lands with a punch from half guard. O Conghaile kicks off Rock and gets to his feet. Oisin O Conghaile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock misses with a takedown attempt - O Conghaile sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rock with a lazy takedown attempt and O Conghaile counters with a three punch combo that has Rock backing up. Rock nods at O Conghaile to acknowledge the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! O Conghaile clinches. Abu Rock is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. O Conghaile missing with knees to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oisin O Conghaile. I think Rock has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
