Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Eddard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Jetstrean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Eddard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Jetstrean! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eddard gets tackled into the cage by Jetstrean. Jetstrean maintains the clinch. Eddard manages to break the clinch.
Jetstrean has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Eddard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Eddard has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches) in the buildup to the fight. Jetstrean misses with a head kick.

and Jetstrean connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Eddard moves away from the strike by Jetstrean. Eddard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jetstrean tries to avoid it but Eddard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jetstrean to the ground. Jetstrean escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jetstrean throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jetstrean throws a sloppy head kick and Eddard moves out of range easily. Nice body punch from Jetstrean. A decent looking cross lands there for Eddard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jetstrean shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Eddard eats them both and turns towards Jetstrean to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jetstrean bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Eddard works the jab nicely. Eddard blocks a head kick by Jetstrean.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eddard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Eddard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Eddard throwing shots but Jetstrean is blocking nicely. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Eddard lands a nice short elbow. Eddard throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jetstrean to regain full guard. Eddard trying to control but Jetstrean is working from the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Eddard pulls Jetstrean in to control the position. Jetstrean not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Eddard wants to sweep but no luck. Jetstrean must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jetstrean trying to control but Eddard is working from the bottom. Eddard pulls Jetstrean in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jetstrean throws a head kick that misses. Jetstrean defending well as Eddard loads up on a big left hand. Sam Jetstrean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jetstrean throws a lazy head kick and Eddard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jetstrean won't be happy with that. Eddard is working Jetstrean over with some ground and pound from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sloppy strikes there by Eddard. Jetstrean is not content to let Eddard control the position. Jetstrean tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eddard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jetstrean down.

Jetstrean thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Eddard if he has to take too many more of those.
Eddard punishes Jetstrean's body with a nice straight punch. Eddard shoots in for a takedown but Jetstrean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jetstrean jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jetstrean throws a lazy head kick and Eddard counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Eddard. Karl Eddard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jetstrean avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Eddard distracts Jetstrean with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jetstrean is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Eddard is aware though and is defending well. Eddard postures up and lands a big shot to Jetstrean's brow. Jetstrean utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eddard landing with the ground and pound. That's one minute gone in the round. Eddard scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jetstrean is controlling Eddard's posture. Eddard throws a big right hand that misses. Jetstrean is trying to control the position but Eddard postures up. Jetstrean wants to control the position but Eddard says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Eddard scoring with strikes to the body and head. Eddard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jetstrean's head. Eddard winds up and cracks Jetstrean with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Eddard is nestled in close to Jetstrean, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Eddard looks to land a strike but Jetstrean avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Eddard throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eddard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Eddard is in close to Jetstrean's body, working some short punches and elbows. Eddard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Eddard controlling the position. Jetstrean wants to control from the top but Eddard keeps moving. Eddard has control of Jetstrean's left arm, preventing Jetstrean from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Jetstrean. Eddard does a little dance to reset his feet. Jetstrean missing with a left hand there. Eddard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jetstrean connects with a right hand. Eddard shakes it off. Jetstrean lands the left hand. Eddard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jetstrean uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Eddard has time to react. Sam Jetstrean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Eddard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jetstrean lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Karl Eddard will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Jetstrean cracks Eddard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Eddard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jetstrean finish him?
and Jetstrean counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Eddard! He's just covering up as Jetstrean starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
