Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boss Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psychott Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boss Boxer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boss Boxer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Psychott Smith! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws the kick towards the body but Boxer avoids it. Smith misses with a wild combination.
Smith gets the takedown into side control. Smith is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Boxer will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Smith advances to mount. Smith looking to control and managing it successfully. Boxer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Smith lands with some strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boxer is looking to get to half guard. Smith controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Smith punishing his opponent with strikes. Boxer tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control. That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Smith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Smith pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Smith controlling from mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smith has control of Boxer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boxer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Boxer wants to control but Smith is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Smith controlling his opponent. Smith lands with some strikes. Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Smith fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith controlling the pace for now. Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Boxer throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Smith sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boxer wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Psychott Smith dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boxer throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily. Smith feints the counter takedown. Boxer moves out of range of the body kick. Boxer is looking to clinch. Boxer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Smith swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Boss Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boxer takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Boxer wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boxer throws a lazy head kick and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith. Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Smith scoring with some ground and pound. Smith won't allow Boxer to sweep him here. Smith is working Boxer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Boxer is looking for a sweep. Psychott Smith has got the better of the ground game so far. Boxer regains half guard. Smith content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Boxer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smith scores with a couple of nice shots. Boxer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smith pulls his head out easily. Boxer trying to control but Smith postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Smith lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Boxer hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Psychott Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Boxer wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Boxer fails in his attempt to clinch. Smith changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Boxer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Smith looks to throw the jab but Boxer is out of range.

Boxer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Boss Boxer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boxer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boxer is looking to clinch. Smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boxer was covering up waiting for the punch and Smith finishes the takedown easily into guard. Smith is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith controlling from the top position. Boxer wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him. Smith is in close to Boxer's body, working some short punches and elbows. Smith passes into half guard. Smith takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Smith with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Smith is continuing to stall. Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. More stalling from Smith. Smith works his way into full mount! Smith controlling from mount. Smith with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boxer tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Psychott Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
