Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Toney Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Jovinesky!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jovinesky can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jovinesky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reed has managed to get both his arms back between Jovinesky's legs - danger averted.

Reed drops back looking for a leg! Jovinesky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jovinesky manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into Jovinesky's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Reed is looking to stand up but Jovinesky isn't so interested in that idea.

Reed wants to sweep but no luck.

The fight stays on the outside here - Reed looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reed shoots in for a double leg but Jovinesky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reed takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jovinesky throws out a leg kick but Reed moves out of range and Jovinesky only half commits.

Jovinesky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Reed tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jovinesky wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
