Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Plum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Shaw looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Plum!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plum swinging wilding here.
Shaw takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Steven Shaw has been cut.
A combination from Plum does no damage.
Plum misses with a two punch combination.
Plum looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Plum swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnny Plum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plum catches Shaw napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Shaw to the canvas!


Shaw is rocked!
Shaw is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Plum wanted to stand there but Shaw had control of the position.

Plum stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Plum throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Shaw tumbling to the canvas!
Plum wants to stand but Shaw is controlling his posture from full guard.
Shaw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shaw drops his hands momentarily and Plum takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Shaw could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Plum lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Shaw drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Plum's guard.

Plum looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Plum paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw stops Plum from getting back to his feet.

Plum manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Plum fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Plum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Shaw counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Plum!

Shaw misses with an elbow to the head.

Plum wants to get back to his feet.

That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Plum swats away the attempt to clinch by Shaw.
Plum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Plum bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Shaw tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Shaw ducks right into an uppercut from Plum.
Plum lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Shaw takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shaw tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Shaw has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Plum misses with the combination.
No joy there for Plum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Plum throws a right hand that Shaw ducks under and follows up with a left that Shaw also avoids with ease.
Plum will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some wild striking there from Plum.
Shaw shoots for a takedown but Plum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Plum stalks Shaw and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shaw's face. Shaw staggers backwards, shaken.

Plum throws a left and a right that both miss

and Shaw counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shaw.
Plum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shaw avoids a punch combination nicely.
Plum throws a right and a left that both miss.
Plum lands with a straight right. Shaw didn't see that one coming.
Plum throws a lazy right hand but Shaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Shaw counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Plum!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
You get the feeling that Plum really doesn't like being in this position too much.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shaw is standing up, even though he is in mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steven Shaw showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Shaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
