The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckay dives in and scores a takedown into Sweeney's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mckay tries to stand but Sweeney is controlling from the bottom.
Mckay really is a fat lump.
Sweeney tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sweeney had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mckay defends it easily.

Ben Sweeney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mckay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sweeney sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mckay somewhat.
