The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brody lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sommervile backs up against the cage.

It looks like James Sommervile has been cut.
Brody fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sommervile keeps the fight on the outside.
Brody moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Sommervile is rocked!
Brody tries to clinch up.

Sommervile takes the fight into the clinch.
Sommervile has Brody pressed against the cage.
Brody swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sommervile is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brody to keep the fight standing.
Brody tries to break the clinch but Sommervile is controlling the position.

Brody gets to his feet - Sommervile follows without any prompting.
Brody misses with a combination

and Sommervile counters with a takedown into side control.

Sommervile is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brody has escaped the position, nice work there.
Brody prevents Sommervile from improving position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brody wants to get back to his feet.
Brody taking punishment in the form of punches.
Sommervile is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Brody is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Sommervile is controlling him well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brody is letting Sommervile control him for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brody is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Brody tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
