Schmidt comes to the cage accompanied by red barchetta- rush. Tate has chosen Engine No. 9 as his entrance music. Jackson Tate acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Tate! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Jackson Tate has been cut. Tate looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tate prevents Schmidt from getting back to his feet. Tate throwing strikes but missing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tate's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schmidt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tate's guard.
Tate had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Schmidt defends it easily. Tate is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Schmidt rolls with it to try and escape but Tate cranks on the arm and Schmidt is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
